DRAWINGS BY JORGE GARCIA

From April 24 to May 20 the Euskal Herria Museum in Gernika presents an exhibition with works by the Brasilian artist Jorge García, born in Sao Paulo in 1957. He has a close relationship with the Basque Country.as he lived in Bilbao from 1980 to 1990 and at the moment he is living in Lazkao. He has taken part in many exhibitions on his own and with other artists as well in the main cities of the Basque Country and Spain. Nowadays we can see part of his work in the Art and History Museum in Durango and in the Euskal Herria Museum in Gernika.

This new and interesting exhibition consists of thirty drawings made by Jorge García using different techniques: ink, pencil, pastel...It shows a development of its author, his ability to use each of the different techniques, his readiness in the conception of the theme as well as the skillfulness with his hand. It may be a risk to try to establish a link or a direct artistical relationship, being an opener and more suggestive visit discovering by oneself the spontaneity and the degree of experimentation that reveals each piece of work..
